Changing Between View Mode and Modify Mode
Remote Web Console has two operation modes: Modify mode and View mode.
View m od e lets you view settings of the storage system. The operation mod e i s View mode when
you log in
to Remote Web Console.
Modify mode lets you lock the setting operation of other users so that they cannot change the
settings of the storage system.
Only one user can be in Modify mode for each storage system. While a storage adm inistrator is in
Modify mode, any other users can only view the storage system information in View mode. If the storage
system is partitioned, only one user c an be in Modify mo d e for each SLPR. Any other users in the
allocated SLPR c an only view the storage system information in View mode.
On most of the windows, you must operate in Modify mode to change the settings of the storage system.
Except for some windows, you can change the settings of the storage system in View mode.
In either mode, you need the operation authority of the function to change the settings
of the
storage system. For detailed information on setting the operation autho rity, see

To change between View mode and Modif y mode:
