Temporary Key
A temporary key is for trial use. 75 days after the temporary license key is installed (or when there are
45 days left before the expira tion), a warning m essage is displayed on the Remote We b Console main
window when you star t the Remote We b Console option. 120 days a fter the temporary license key is
installed, the temporary license key expires. A m essage that warns the user of the expiration of the license
key i s displayed, and the license key expiration is also reported to the host. After the temporary key
has
expired, you cannot re-install the temporary key for 180 days.
• When the license key for a program product expires, the license key for a program p roduct which
requires the expired program product will be also disabled.
• For TrueCopy for Mainframe, HP StorageWorks XP Continuous Access Software, ShadowImage
for Mainframe, Business Copy and LUN Manager, the expiration of a temporary license key has
the
following effects:
•No new configuration settings may b e performed.
•The configuration settings that were m ade before the temporary license key expired remain
in
effect and cannot be deleted.
Note: Non-configuration settings that were m ade before the temporary license key expired
can be d eleted from the SVP only (not from the Remote Web Console).
• For HP StorageWorks X P Virtual LVI/LUN, HP StorageWorks XP LUN Exp ansion, Cache Residency
Manager for Mainframe, HP StorageWorks XP Cache Residency Manager, and HP StorageWorks
XP
for Compatible Parallel Access Volumes Software, the expiration of a temporary license
key
has the following effects:
•No new configuration settings may b e performed.
