The Information window has the following features:
• Device Information (see “Device Information” on page 55)

LDEV Information (see “LDEV Information”onpage56)
• The Apply button applies all the changes or settings made on the Remote Web Console main
window .

Note: If you input any changes, the text may be displayed in blue bold italics or an icon may change
(see
Table 7 on page 30). The changes are not actually implemented until you select the Apply button.
Device
Information
Device Information is on the upper part of the Information window.
• Serial Number: Serial num ber of the connected storage system.
• IP Add
ress: IP address of the connected storage system (SVP).
• Name: Device name of the connected storage system. The Remote Web Console user can
change the devicenamewiththe modifymode. Youmustenter adevicename using up to 180
alphanumeric characters (ASCII codes), except for some symbols, such as ", \, ;, :, ,, *, ?, <,
>, |, /, ^, &,and %. You can also use a space, except for before and after the device name.
If

enter a space before or after the device name, an error occurs when you click Apply.

Note: Make sure to document the d evice name, because the settings will be cleared when

SVP is replaced.
• Contac t: Contact information such as personnel and telephone number where you can inquire
aboutthe connected storage system. TheRemoteWeb Consoleusercan change thecontact
information with the modify mode. You must enter the contact information using up to 180
