The Port Status Window
Cluster-
1 and
Cluster-2 in the Port Status window indicate the clusters. The ports of Cluster-1 are listed on
the
upper part, and the por ts of Cluster-2 are listed on the lower part of the Port Status window.
Each cluster has 16 PCBs (P
rinted Circuit Board) a nd the name of each PCB is displayed on the header of
theportl
ist. The icons show the port name, por t LED status, and equipment information for the port. The
icons displayed indicate the following information:
: This port is equipped and currently used. The cable is properly set. This por t is available
for the operation.
: This port is equipped and available for the operation.
: This port is not equipped or not available.
Alerts Window
The Al
erts window displays the internal statuses (acc ording to the SIM information reported to the host)
of
the
connected storage system. The storage system g enerates a service information message (SIM)
whenever it detects a n error or service requirement.
The status history is listed in the Status list on the Aler ts window.
To ope
n
the Alerts window, log in to the Remote Web Console, and then click Go, System Informatio n
and
S
tatus on the menu bar of the Remote Web Console main window.
Note:
Storage partition administrators cannot d isplay the Alerts window.
