4. Use the controls to set MS-SQL features for a profile, as described in the following
table.
5. To save the settings permanently, click Save.
To revert to the running configuration, click Reset.
Enabling
Connection
Pooling
You enable connection pooling for a common profile in the Profile - Connection
Pooling page.
Connection pooling saves an extra round-trip across the WAN for the initial
connection. Connection pooling is useful for protocols which open a large number of
short lived connections, such as HTTP.
Enabling this feature is optional.
Control Description
Settings will be applied to profile Select the name of the profile you want to configure from the drop-down list.
Add MS-SQL Port Port. Type the port number for the MS-SQL server in the text box and click Add Port.
To remove ports from the port list, click the check box next to the port name and click
Remove Selected Ports.
MS-SQL Features Enable MS-SQL Optimization. Check this box to increase optimization for Microsoft
Project.
Enable MS-SQL Prefetch Fetch-Next. Check this box to enable prefetching requests to
request the next row in MS Project. The server-side appliance prefetches sequential row
results and the client-side appliance caches them.
Max Number of Pre-Acknowledgements. Type a number of requests to pre-
acknowledge before waiting for a server response to be returned.
Update Settings. If you modify any of the settings in this group, click Update Settings
to apply your modification.
