Control Description
Settings will be applied to
appliance
Select the appliance for which you want to view or modify the configuration from the
drop-down list.
Select interface Select an in-path interface from the drop-down list, for example, inpath0_0.
IP Address Get IP address automatically? Check this box to obtain the IP address from a dynamic
host configuration protocol (DHCP) server.
If you do not use a DHCP server to set the IP address, specify the following settings:
IP Address. Type an IP address in the text box.
Subnet Mask. Type a subnet mask in the text box.
In-Path Gateway IP. Type in-path gateway IP address in the text box. The in-path
gateway must be in the same network as the in-path interface. You must set the in-path
gateway for in-path configurations.
IMPORTANT: If there is a routed network on the LAN-side of the in-path appliance, the
router that is the default gateway for the appliance must not have the Access Control List
(ACL) configured to drop packets from the remote hosts as its source. The in-path
appliance uses IP masquerading to appear as the remote server.
