2.13.2 DESCRIPTION
This FSE command executes restore of the FSE server. It is used to perform these
FSE administrator’s tasks:
restore complete FSE server state from the backup image on disk (local
or remote disk volume or share) or tape (FSE medium in the backup FSE
media pool),
copy a sequence of backup images from tape to an arbitrary directory on the
FSE server, without performing restore.
After a successful command execution fserestore notifies the FSE administrator
with a suitable message, which is printed to the standard output stream (stdout).
If there was an error during the command execution, an appropriate error message
is printed to the standard error stream (stderr).
Warning:
Before using fserestore, as an FSE administrator, you should be familiar with
concepts of FSE operation, and must be aware of the existing data loss risk
due to improper usage of fserestore. Use the command with extreme caution.
