Note:

If a certain ﬁle is located on HSM ﬁle system other than the HSM ﬁle

system of the ﬁrst speciﬁed ﬁle, a warning is printed and the ﬁle is not

processed.

• –R, – –recall

Recall a migrated generation of a ﬁle that is currently present on an HSM

ﬁle system or was present at some moment in the past. A generation may

be recalled:

– in place to the corresponding HSM ﬁle system (this is allowed only if

the latest generation is speciﬁed);

– into an arbitrary directory on a non–HSM ﬁle system (this is allowed

for any generation).

Recall is done separately for each ﬁle speciﬁed either by the FileName...

argument or by the – –id PartitionName FileID... argument combination;

each ﬁle triggers its own recall job. Independently of the ﬁle speciﬁcation

method used, a particular older migrated generation can be speciﬁed using

either the – –date Date or the – –migid MigID argument combination.

Note:

Latest migrated generation may only be recalled with the FileName...

argument, when ﬁle still exists. This limitation results in obligatory

usage of the ––into option if the ﬁle to be recalled is speciﬁed with the

– –id PartitionName FileID... argument combination.

IMPORTANT: If a non–latest generation of a ﬁle is recalled using the ––

into option, the two security precautions are:

1. owner and group ownership of the recalled ﬁle are both set to root;

2. all time stamps of the recalled ﬁle are set to current date and time.

Recall latest generation of a set of ﬁles, speciﬁed in the ﬁle InputFile. Sev-

eral FSE recall jobs are created for such recall, based on location of the
