Preparing the Enterprise & Modular Storage RAID Array Subsystem
1. Verify that your storage subsystem and FC host bus adapter settings are
correct for your Windows NT/Windows 2000/Windows Server 2003 (32-bit)
Cluster configuration and Fibre Channel Topology.
2. Verify that your storage units are accessible to the servers in your Windows
NT/Windows 2000/Windows Server 2003 (32-bit) Cluster configuration.
3. Restart the Enterprise & Modular Storage RAID Array subsystem if you have
made changes to the HSG80 controllers.
Preparing Host A with Host B Powered Down
1. Install the FCA Fibre Channel host bus adapter device driver.
2. [If Needed] Temporarily de-assign drive letters on all NTFS partition on your
Enterprise & Modular Storage RAID Array. This step is required only when
you have created NTFS partitions on your Enterprise & Modular Storage
RAID Array system before installing the HSZDISK class driver. The
HSZDISK class driver is installed during step 3.
3. Run the Fibre Channel Software Setup Utility for Transparent Failover.
4. Restart the server (Host A).
5. [If Needed] Reassign previous NTFS Partition Drive Letters from step 2.
Preparing Host B (Host A can remain powered up)
1. Install the FCA Fibre Channel Host Adapter Device Driver.
2. [If needed] Temporarily de-assign drive letters on all NTFS partition on your
Enterprise & Modular Storage RAID Array. This step is required only when
you have created NTFS partitions on your Enterprise & Modular Storage
RAID Array system before installing the HSZDISK class driver. The
HSZDISK class driver is installed during step 3.
3. Run the Fibre Channel Software Setup Utility
4. Restart the server (Host B).
5. [If Needed] Reassign previous NTFS Partition Drive Letters from step 2.
