Verifying Successful HsxDisk filter Driver Installation
After the host server is restarted, verify that the HsxDisk class driver installed
successfully by performing the following procedure:
1. Open the Event Viewer from Computer Management.
2. Locate an information icon in the Event Viewer window with HsxDisk for the
Source.
3. Double click on the HsxDisk entry and an entry detail screen displays.
4. The message in the detail screen indicates whether the HsxDisk driver was
successfully installed. Upon successful HsxDisk driver installation, proceed
to NTFS Partition Drive Letter Reassignment or Creation, if no drive letters
have been created.
Reassigning or Creating the NTFS Partition Drive Letter
Preparing Host A
If you have not yet created any NTFS partitions on the Enterprise & Modular
Storage RAID Array system, create them now by running the Disk Management
utility on Host A. This action prepares Host A for a cluster. Then, return to
Preparing Both Host Servers for a FC Cluster” on page 250, to repeat the
preceding software setups on Host B.
Preparing Host B
The shared drive letters must be identical on both host servers in a cluster
environment. Reassign the same drive letters to Host B that you assigned to Host
A.
Installing and Configuring Cluster Software on Both Host Servers
The Enterprise & Modular Storage RAID Array, Host A and Host B must be
prepared for a Fibre Channel cluster before installing Windows NT/Windows
2000/Windows Server 2003 (32-bit) Cluster software. You are now ready to
install and configure Windows NT/Windows 2000/Windows Server 2003 (32-bit)
Cluster software on both of your host servers, as described in the manual provided
with your cluster software. Additional support can be found at
