Installing RAID Windows NT, Windows 2000, and Windows
Server 2003 (32-bit) Device Drivers
The Fibre Channel Software and RAID Windows NT (HszDisk.sys) or Windows
2000 (HsxDisk.sys) Device Driver software is installed on your host server from
the RAID Array Software Solution CD-ROM. After you insert the CD-ROM, the
program should start automatically.
Note: If the program does not start after inserting the CD-ROM, go to the CD-ROM
drive directory and click launch.exe in the root directory.
The software installation program provides one main option: Solution Software
for Windows NT/Windows 2000/Windows Server 2003 (32-bit).
1. Select the Solution Software option.
2. Select the Perform Multi Driver Install/Update
option.
3. Select the Run Fibre Channel Utility option from the menu that
appears after the driver upgrade is completed.
4. Choose the setup that matches your system configuration from the options
that are presented.
The Fibre Channel Software performs as follows:
Installs the Hsz/HsxDisk SCSI Driver.
Sets registry for proper operational use of the FCA Fibre Channel host adapter
with the Enterprise Storage RAID Array Fibre Channel system.
Enables “Extended Configuration” settings to be specified in a Fibre Channel
Switch (FC-SW) topology and Fibre Channel Arbitrated Loop (FC-AL)
topology.
Copies the appropriate driver to the%systemroot%\system32\drivers folder.
Checks for SCSI related error log events since the last system boot.
Reports SCSI driver revision information.
