The Configuration in Figure 52 features the following attributes:

■ Single Fibre Channel Loop
■ Up to 84 UltraSCSI drives with optional expansion enclosures
■ Dual-redundant HSG80 RAID controllers operating in transparent failover
mode
■ Scalable to add a second Enterprise & Modular Storage RAID Array and both
HSG80 host ports
Adding a redundant I/O path to your Enterprise & Modular Storage RAID Array
system enhances the previous configuration by increasing data throughput, load
balancing your storage and eliminating the I/O bus as a single-point-of-failure.
This high availability and no-single-point-of-failure configuration requires Secure
Path software for Windows NT/Windows 2000/Windows Server 2003 (32-bit)
value-added software and requires you to change the operating mode of your
Enterprise & Modular Storage RAID Array to multiple-bus failover mode.
