HP StorageWorks Enterprise File Services WAN Accelerator 2.1.11 release notes (392363-007, January 2007)

Synchronization with Standalone PFS shares
Synchronization with a Standalone PFS share may not work correctly. If using Standalone shares and
synchronization, verify that it is working properly, or choose a different type of PFS share when using
synchronization.
Setting the system date/time
When setting the system date/time in the web based GUI, if the date and time is significantly off, when set
to the current date and time, the GUI will log the user off. If this occurs, log back in, and the date will have
been set correctly, you can now set the time.
Refreshing web GUI pages
When configuring items through the web GUI, at times a browser error may be returned saying, “Page
not found.” When this occurs, press the Refresh button in the web browser, and the page often returns
correctly.
HP System Management Homepage
When logging in to the HP System Management Homepage, use the admin login only; do not attempt to
use a Radius or TACACS+ login.
The login page of the HP System Management Homepage does not allow a blank password. Set the
admin account password before attempting to login to the HP System Management Homepage.
When sending test traps from the HP System Management Homepage (Settings - SNMP Webagent -
SNMP Configuration), only version 1 traps are sent. Set a version 1 trap destination using the general
system Management Console (Setup -> Reports -> SNMP Trap Receivers) before attempting to send a test
trap using the HP System Management Homepage.
HP Integrated Lights-Out Network Settings
Modifying settings using the Web-based interface of the HP Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) Network Settings
page (Administration -> Network Settings) can result in the system locking up. If Automatic Server Recovery
(ASR) is enabled, the system will reboot after the ASR timeout value (see the system's ROM-Based Setup
Utility (RBSU) to determine if ASR is enabled.) To avoid this, access the WAN Accelerator Command-Line
Interface (CLI) and issue the following commands prior to modifying Network Settings on iLO:
enable
configure terminal
hp agents stop
Then, modify the Network Settings on iLO. After you've finished modifying the Network Settings, start the
HP agents using the CLI:
hp agents start
An alternative is to modify the iLO settings using the iLO ROM-Based Setup Utility, available during system
boot. See the HP Integrated Lights-Out homepage at http://www.hp.com/servers/lights-out for
information about iLO and the HP ROM-Based Setup Utility User Guide on the Documentation CD for
information about RBSU.
Shutting Down the System
When shutting down the system using the Web-based interface or the Command-Line Interface, the system
will not automatically power down. A few minutes after the shutdown command is issued, the system will
be in a mode that is safe to power down by using the power button.
