After upgrading P9000 Performance Advisor host agents
Verify the P9000 Performance Advisor host agents upgrade.
The procedures are the same as given for verifying the host agents installation. For more information,
see Verifying if the host agents appear in P9000 Performance Advisor on page 81.
Using P9000 Performance Advisor
Launch P9000 Performance Advisor and log in using your credentials.
For more information, see Launching P9000 Performance Advisor on page 64.
Start collecting the configuration and performance data for your XP and P9000 disk arrays.
For more information, see Using P9000 Performance Advisor on page 89.
Determining the current version of P9000 Performance Advisor
To upgrade to P9000 Performance Advisor v5.2, you must have one of the following versions, v5.1,
v5.0, or v4.6 installed on your management station. To determine the version installed on your
management station, log on to P9000 Performance Advisor using your account credentials. You can
also login using the default administrator account (administrator:administrator), if the P9000
Performance Advisor Native Authentication method has been selected for the existing version of
P9000 Performance Advisor.
In the P9000 Performance Advisor Dashboard screen, the installed version is displayed in the top left
corner along with the product name and the build number. Based on the version identified, do the
following:
If it is a pre-3.2 version, see Using a pre-3.2 version of P9000 Performance Advisor on page 102.
If it is a pre-3.5 version, see Using a pre-3.5 version of P9000 Performance Advisor on page 103.
If it is v3.5 or later, see Using v3.5.x, v4.0, or v4.1 of P9000 Performance Advisor on page 103

IMPORTANT:
Ensure that the following prerequisites are completed before you begin the upgrade:
Verify that the %PADB_HOME% environment variable points to the <Installation_Drive>:\
HPSS\padb location.
Verify that the %PATH% environment variable points to the %PADB_HOME%\ora_db\bin location
Verify if the HP StorageWorks P9000 Performance Advisor Database service and the HP Storage-
Works P9000 Performance Advisor Database Listener service are active.
If the %ORACLE_HOME% environment variable is configured, ensure that it does not point to any
location.
Using a pre-3.2 version of P9000 Performance Advisor
If you are using a pre-3.2 version (v2.2B or later versions), do the following:
