2. After the installation, complete the following additional steps to verify invalid objects:
a. In the command prompt window, type sqlplus /nolog and press Enter.
b. Execute the following query to connect to the database as SYSDBA using SQL*Plus:
CONNECT / AS SYSDBA SQL
c. After you are connected, execute the following query:
SELECT OBJECT_NAME FROM DBA_OBJECTS WHERE STATUS = 'INVALID';
The following message is displayed:
no rows selected.
If any invalid objects are listed, contact your HP Support representative for further assistance
to resolve the issue.
NOTE:
Re-running the Oracle patch installer when it is already installed displays the following error message:
The Oracle patch application process for P9000 Performance Advisor Software failed. For more
information, inspect the <MachineName>_<timestamp>_OraclePatch.log and
opatch<timestamp>.log located under <directory name>. The installation wizard will exit
now.
You can ignore the above error.
If you are unable to access P9000 Performance Advisor after the Oracle patch is installed, contact
your HP Support representative along with the following log files for further assistance to resolve the
issue:
opatch<timestamp>.log file located at %PADB_HOME%\ora_db\cfgtoollogs\opatch.
<MachineName>_<timestamp>_OraclePatch.log file located at %PADB_HOME%\ora_db\
cfgtoollogs\opatch.
catbundle_WINBUNDLE_PADB_APPLY_<timestamp>.log file located at %PADB_HOME%\
ora_db\cfgtoollogs\catbundle.
Verifying Oracle patch installation
To verify if the Oracle patch installation is complete:
1. In the command prompt window, navigate to the %PADB_HOME%\ora_db\Opatch folder.
2. Execute the following command:
opatch.bat lsinventory all -oh "%PADB_HOME%\ora_db"
3. The output of the above command will list all the Oracle patches installed on the management
station.
If patches are not installed, a message is displayed for the same.
