The PATH variable does not point to the correct %PADB_HOME%\ora_db\bin location.
Resolution
The solution might be one or a combination of the following actions. Perform the steps listed for the
following actions to verify and complete the required procedures:
1. Verify the location pointed to the %PADB_HOME% environment variable.
a. Right-click My Computer and select Properties from the drop-down list.
b. In the System Properties window, click the Advanced tab.
c. Click Environment Variables.
d. In the System variables section, verify that the value of the PADB_HOME environment variable
points to the <Installation_Drive>:\HPSS\padb location.
e. Click OK on the Environment Variables window and the System Properties window to save
the changes and close the windows.
2. Verify the location pointed to by the %PATH% environment variable.
a. Right-click My Computer and select Properties from the drop-down list.
b. In the System Properties window, click the Advanced tab.
c. Click Environment Variables.
d. In the System variables section, verify that the value of the PATH environment variable points
to the %PADB_HOME%\ora_db\bin location.
e. Click OK on the Environment Variables window and the System Properties window to save
the changes and close the windows.
3. If the %ORACLE_HOME% environment variable is configured, ensure that it does not point to any
location.
4. Verify that the following Oracle services are active: %PADB_HOME%\ora_db\bin
HP StorageWorks P9000 Performance Advisor Tomcat
HP StorageWorks P9000 Performance Advisor Monitor
HP StorageWorks P9000 Performance Advisor Security
HP StorageWorks P9000 Performance Advisor Database
HP StorageWorks P9000 Performance Advisor Database Listener
Retry the P9000 Performance Advisor upgrade procedure.
