HP StorageWorks P9000 Performance Advisor Software v5.2 Install Guide (T1789-96317, May 2011)

Changing the HTTP port number
To change the HTTP port number, complete the following steps:
On the management station
1. Look for the following tag in the server.xml and manually replace the existing port number
with the new port number:
<Connector port="Existing_port_num" protocol="HTTP/1.1"
connectionTimeout="20000" redirectPort="443"/>
The server.xml is available in the <Installation_Drive>:\HPSS\pa\tomcat\conf
folder on your management station.
2. Restart the HP StorageWorks P9000 Performance Advisor Tomcat service.
On the host agent
Complete the following steps to manually update the new port number of the management station on
the host agent side also:
1. If Windows host agent, open the paxp_service.properties file from the <Installa-
tion_Drive>:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\xppa\hostagent\config folder
on your host system. If it is a custom install location, the file is available in the <Installa-
tion_Drive>:\<Installation_Directory>\hostagent\config folder.
If UNIX host agent, open the paxp_service.properties file from the <Installa-
tion_Drive>:\opt\xppa\hostagent\config folder on your host system.
2. Replace the existing port number in the http.port field with the new port number of the man-
agement station with which your host agent should communicate.
Following is a sample paxp_service.properties file in which the ManagementSta-
tion.Hostname shows 01.01.01.01 as the management station IP address and http.port
shows port 80:
#com.hp.xpsl.hostagent.HostAgent
######################################################################
ManagementStation.Hostname=01.01.01.01
# On startup, if missing or empty value, then system uses the
# value in the xpmgmtstationaddress.prp file.
# Protocol:
# http (default) or https. Fix at startup
http.port: 80
# http port of the management station. This will be provided
# during installation
3. Restart the host agent services. For more information, see Appendix B.
