2. In the P9000 Performance Advisor Home screen, click Support in the title pane.

3. Navigate to the Host Agents section. A list of host agents for supported operating platforms is
provided.
4. Click the link for the host agent you want to select and download the host agent (.tar) file to
your host.
5. Navigate to the P9000Info section and download the P9000Info software.
6. FTP both the P9000 Performance Advisor host agent (.tar) file and the P9000Info software to
the tmp directory, or to a location of your choice on the remote host.
If required, you can also download and install the CLUI software, P9000Watch, and P9000Sketch.

7. If not already done, install P9000Info on your host to verify that the connectivity to the command
device is established. For more information, see “Verifying host agent connectivity to a command
device” on page 41.
IMPORTANT:
You must create and assign a command device from an XP or a P9000 disk array to your
host agent. If not yet created, the corresponding RAID Manager Library version will not be
displayed in the Host Information table when you request for a host agent update after the
installation. For more information on communicating with host agents, see the HP
