If you have logged into P9000 Performance Advisor, the host agent version is also displayed in
the Host Information table under HA Version. For more information, see Requesting host up-
date on page 89.
If the host agent version is different, upgrade the existing host agent version to be in sync with the
version of P9000 Performance Advisor installed on your management station. For more information,
see Upgrading to the latest versions of host agents on page 113.
Specifying the correct HTTP port number of the management station in the paxp_service.prop-
erties file available in the <hostagent_home>\config folder. <hostagent_home>
translates to the location on your host where the host agent is installed. For more information, see
on page 135.
After you are able to view the host agent records, refresh the Host Information table on the Array
View screen. For more information, see Using P9000 Performance Advisor on page 89. You can

The P9000 Performance Advisor and host agents connectivity issues can arise if the port number that
P9000 Performance Advisor uses is different from the one that the host agents use for establishing
communication with P9000 Performance Advisor. It can occur in the following installation or
upgradation scenarios:
P9000 Performance Advisor v5.3 is installed on the management station and host agent v5.3 is
installed on the host.
In the following case, though you have the option of providing a port number of your choice during
the P9000 Performance Advisor installation, the same port number might not be specified while
installing the host agents. The following illustration depicts the case discussed.
In the above mentioned scenarios, installation process completes, but a Connection refused
error message appears when the host agent tries to establish connection with P9000 Performance
Advisor.
Verify if the following are the reasons and rectify if required.
Verifying the HP StorageWorks P9000 Performance Advisor Tomcat service
Manually verify if the HP StorageWorks P9000 Performance Advisor Tomcat service is active on the
management station. If the service has stopped, try to restart the service by following these steps:
1. Select Start > Run and type services.msc.
The Services dialog box appears.
