Management station prerequisites
This section describes the prerequisites that you must complete for installing P9000 Performance
Advisor on a management station.
After you complete the prerequisites, start the P9000 Performance Advisor installation. For more
information, see Installing the P9000 Performance Advisor on page 43.

To install P9000 Performance Advisor, verify that you have the supported configurations for:
Hardware on page 24

Hardware
Your management station must meet the following hardware requirements:
DVD drive
Intel Pentium or AMD Athlon based systems - 3.0 GHz CPU (minimum) or later for complex con-
figuration and multiple disk arrays
OR
For multi-core processor based systems - 2.0 GHz CPU or later
2 GB RAM (minimum), 4 GB RAM for complex configuration, and multiple XP and P9000 disk
arrays
8 GB (minimum) free space on the hard drive
If you are installing both the P9000 Performance Advisor and the Windows host agent on the
same system, HP recommends 10 GB (minimum) free disk space on the hard drive.
NOTE:
It is recommended to ensure that up to 50 GB of free space is available on the drive where PADB
is installed, for additional database operations. This space may or may not be utilized.
