4. Click Yes to remove the RAID Manager Library.
If the RAID Manager Library functions are being shared by some other application, click No
to retain it.
Removing a UNIX host agent
To remove the host agent from hosts other than Windows, complete the following steps:
1. Telnet to the remote host as root.
2. Navigate to the tmp directory.
3. Untar the host agent .tar file by entering:
tar -xvf hostagent_<os_name>.tar
4. Run the uninstall script by entering:
unix_local_uninstall.sh
NOTE:
Before running the scripts, ensure that you have execution permission (using chmod a+x *)
for all the scripts you execute.
During removal, you are prompted to verify the removal of the RAID Manager Library
component. Select Y, in UNIX to remove the shared components.
Removing an OpenVMS Integrity Server host agent
To remove the host agent, complete the following steps:
1. Log into the OpenVMS host as a "system-user”.
2. Enter product remove HPXPPAHA at the system prompt.
3. Enter product show product * to confirm that the host agent is removed from the list of
installed products.
After the existing host agent versions are removed, the corresponding host agent records are still
visible on the HP XP7 Performance Advisor's Host Information screen. Click Remove Host to manually
remove the host agent records from the management station. After the host agent records are
removed, the management station will not receive any communication from the respective hosts.
Removing the HP XP7 Performance Advisor management station
WARNING! Removing HP XP7 Performance Advisor also deletes the database completely from
the management station. If you want to retain a copy of the database, click No on the message
prompt that appears when you begin the un-installation process. Then, take a backup of the
database using the Backup utility (click Start > Programs > HP XP7 Performance Advisor > Backup
Utility). After the data backup is complete, resume the un-installation process. For more information
on using the Backup utility, see the HP XP7 Performance Advisor Software User Guide available
on Installation disk 2.
