HP XP7 Performance Advisor management station prerequisites
Verify whether existing applications on the management station support other Oracle database instances to be
installed. If multiple Oracle database instances can coexist, ensure that they are not named PADB, as it conflicts
with the same name (PADB) provided for the HP XP7 Performance Advisor database.
HP XP7 Performance Advisor can coexist only with applications that allow different application-specific Oracle
instances to coexist. For more information, see the application-specific documentation.
If the %ORACLE_HOME%, %ORACLE_SID%, and %CATALINA_HOME% environment variables are already
configured on the management station, delete or rename them before the installation begins. You can recreate
these variables or rename them back after the installation procedure completes.
Verify the supported configuration for the HP XP7 Performance Advisor management station.
For more information, see “Verifying the supported configurations for HP XP7 Performance Advisor” (page 26).
Select a free port (not used by any other application's process and not a commonly reserved port) that HP XP7
Performance Advisor can use for all its communications. Port 80 is the default port that can be used.
