Installing the HP XP7 Performance Advisor host agents
Install the HP XP7 Performance Advisor host agents.
At this point, return to the respective HP XP7 Performance Advisor host agents installation procedures for the
host agents you want to install. For more information, see “Installing XP7 Performance Advisor host
agents” (page 69).
IMPORTANT: After installing the HP XP7 Performance Advisor host agents, return to this checklist to complete
the remaining prerequisites and tasks to use HP XP7 Performance Advisor.
After installing the HP XP7 Performance Advisor host agents
Verify if the HP XP7 Performance Advisor Windows host agent services have started.
For more information, see “Confirming the HP XP7 Performance Advisor Windows host agent services” (page 75).
Verify if the HP XP7 Performance Advisor UNIX host agent services have started.
For more information, see “Confirming the HP XP7 Performance Advisor UNIX host agent services” (page 77).
Verify if the respective host agent records are appearing in HP XP7 Performance Advisor on your management
station.

Create and assign the Windows Global Unique Identifier (\\?\Volume{GUID}) to command devices on a Windows
host agent, to overcome device renaming and device remapping issues during the data collections.

Configure SSL settings on your Windows or UNIX host.

Using HP XP7 Performance Advisor
Launch HP XP7 Performance Advisor and log in using your credentials.
