3 Working with P9000Watch menus and
commands
This section describes how to use the different modes, commands, menus, and interfaces of
P9000Watch.
Commands
This section describes the menus and the options you choose in the Interactive mode, as well as the
commands that you execute in the CLI mode.
To see the Help options in the Interactive mode and CLI mode, the following command can be executed
in the command prompt:
For Windows platform, xpwatch.exe –h
For a non-Windows platform, ./xpwatch –h
where, –h is for viewing the Help menu.
The Help menu describes the modes and all the options available with P9000Watch.
Executing commands in Interactive mode
The P9000Watch commands enable you to perform the following tasks:
• Navigate through menus using the Navigation Options.
• Select items, such as host groups, ports, RAID groups, and LDEVs using the Selection Options.
• Modify the settings using the Miscellaneous Options.
The Host Groups screen displays all the available navigation options, selection options, and
miscellaneous options. The list of host groups are sorted alphabetically based on the host group name.
All the other screens have their related options displayed. Figure 5 shows the P9000Watch commands.
