Comments
Associated validation commands. ValidateHostVolume.
Agent and license prerequisites. Requires a host agent. Requires a local replication license
for the storage system on which the underlying storage volume (presented source) is located.
Command result value. List of snapclone storage volume names (UNC). For a complete list,
see Command result values.
OS specifics. Yes. See examples.
Tru64 UNIX. When this command is used with AdvFS volumes that have heavy I/O, HP
recommends briefly suspending the I/O before the replication step. See Suspending I/O
before replicating AdvFS volumes.
The command initially treats the managed set as a set of preallocated containers. When the
command has completed, the managed set contains snapclone storage volumes.
The companion command is ConvertStorageVolumesInManagedSetIntoContainers.
This command cannot be used with some older versions of controller software. For information
on controller version feature support, see the HP P6000 Enterprise Virtual Array Compatibility
Reference.
See Resource names and UNC formats.
SnapcloneStorageVolume
Creates a snapclone (point-in-time copy) of a storage volume.
