Switches
Selects an EVA host name to which to present your virtual disks. However, prior
to adding presentations, you must identify the specific host name format used in
add_presentation
HP P6000 Command View. To do this, use the select system command to
specify the array to which the enabled hosts connects. Next, use the sho sys
eh command to view the format specified in HP P6000 Command View. Enter
the correct EVA host name format:
RSM-DCM-XL01>set vd <vdisk name> ap=<EVA Host Name>
The add_presentation switch enables the specified hosts access to virtual disk
data. Be aware that EVA hosts are simply port lists and can contain ports from
one or more physical host systems. Presenting more than one host to a volume
can cause write conflicts.
Sets the virtual disk write cache to write-through or write-back mode. See
cache policies in the replication manager online help for information on write
cache mode.
CAUTION: Leaving a virtual disk in write-through mode causes a performance
degradation for that virtual disk.
cache_mode
Specifies the capacity of a thin provisioned virtual disk. For thin provisioning
requirements, see “Thin provisioning guidelines” (page 10).
capacity_requested
Converts the virtual disk into a container. The virtual disk being converted must
not be a presented virtual disk.
change_into_container
Provides a source disk name to perform a synchronize operation. The disk provided
in this set command will be the destination and will be synchronized with the disk
named in the instant_restore_from switch.
instant_restore_from
Specifies if the source virtual disk is kept. Default value is Yes.keep
A valid LUN for this host. The default value is autoselect.lun
Defines the destination disk group for migration.migrate_disk_group
Sets the RAID level of the virtual disk being migrated. Options are:migrate_vraid_level
raid0
raid1
raid5
raid6
A state in which firmware is unable to allocate additional space for a thin
provisioned virtual disk.
over_commit
Performs a manual refresh of the virtual disk properties prior to other operations
that were specified in this command.
refresh
Selects an EVA host name to which to unpresent your virtual disk.remove_presentation
Renames a storage volume (virtual disk, snapshot, snapclone, mirrorclone).setname
Sets the EVA host type to host_fc_port or host_isci.type
SET VDISK 35
