Routing Rules Panel, PAM Window
You use the
Routing Rules
panel of the PAM window to create, edit, or delete a
complex routing rule, or to choose the repository associated with a rule.
Note:
Use simple routing rules (see
Simple Routing Rules Panel, PAM
Window
, on page 3-21), instead of the
Routing Rules
panel, when-
ever possible. Extensive use of complex rules can negatively
impact system performance.
The following table describes the features of the
Routing Rules
panel.

Feature Description
candidate objects List of all complex routing rules. Only the first 50 items in the
list are shown, and the list can be filtered using the Search and
A-to-Z buttons. (See
Using the PAM Window
, on page 3-9
.)
Routing Rule ID Automatically generated identifier for the selected routing rule.
This value is unique to the system. (Not editable.)
Name (Required.) Name of the selected routing rule.
Domain Domain of the selected routing rule. (Not editable here. This
value is supplied when you create the rule, using the New
button.)
Repository Repository the routing rule applies to. Emails that match the
rule are routed to this Repository.
... Click the ... (ellipsis) button to display the Select Repository
dialog box, where you choose the destination repository.
