Exporting query or search results
If you have installed the Outlook plug-in and are using the RISS Outlook Interface customer option, you
can use the Export Checked Items and Expor t All Items options in the More Options menu to expor t query
results. Y ou c
an export quer y results directly to Outlo ok or create a PST file to save to an external location,
such as your hard drive. You can also export results that you have placed in a quarantine repository.
To export results:
1. Display the Q
uery Results page by completing one of the following tasks:
•
Submitasimple(see"Completing simple searches" on page 19) or advanced search (see
"Completing
advanced searches" on page 20).
•
Submit a search from previously saved criteria (see " Accessing saved criteria" on page 28).
•
Access prev iously saved results (see "Accessing saved results" on page 29).
2. From the Query Results page, select the check box next to each item you want to export. Skip this
step if you a re expor ting all items.
3. Click More
Options to open the menu.
4. To export all results, click Export All I tems .Toexporttheselecteditems,clickExp or t Ch ecked Items.
If this is the firsttimeyouhaveexportedresults,theFileDownloaddialogboxisdisplayed.

5. If prov
ided, select the Always ask before opening t his t ype of file check box to clear it. If you clear
the ch
eck box, you will no longer have to complete this step in the future. This option depends on the
versi
on of Windows you are running a nd the security level you have set.
6. Click Open to start the export process. The Export P rogress dialog box is displayed.
Or click Save to save the file, double-click the file in Windows Explorer to open it, and continue
with this procedure.
