opping automatic archiving
Do one of the fol
lowing to start or stop the automatic archiving of les you drop in your Active-Archive Bin:
Use the Active-Archive Monitor:
1. Make sure the Active-Archive Monitor is running. See "Starting the Active-Archive
Monitor"onpa
ge 54.
2. Position your
mouse over the My Active-Archive icon in the Windows tray:

will be displayed, indicating the current status of automatic archiving, Running (archiving is on) or
Stopped (archiving is off) .
3. To change the current status, right-click the My Active-Archive tray icon and select Start Archiving
or Stop Arch i
ving, as appropriate.
Use the My Active-Archive Properties dialog box:
1. Display the My Active-Archive Properties dialog box. See "Displaying the archiving status and
general set
tings" on page 58.
2. Click the Impo rt Status tab to display the Impor t Status p anel.
3. Check the current Status (Stopped or Running) of automatic archiving (Process Control). To change
the Status
,clickStart or Stop, as appropriate. The Status will change accordingly.

llowing les can be queued for automatic archiving:
Files contained in dropped folders
Email messages contained in dropped PST les (Outloo k Personal Folder les)
Indi
vidual dropped les besides PST les

To archive a le:
1. Drag selected les and folders to the My Active-Archive folder (your Active-Archive Bin), and drop
them there. (The folder need not b e open.)
