Displaying queued files
To display queued files:
• Open the My Active-Archive folder by double-clicking the folder icon on your desktop. The
Active-Archive Bin is displayed.
Examining the archiving status of a file
To examine the archiving status:
• Open the My Active-Archive folder. The Active-Archive Bin displays the files. The archiving Status
of a file is displaye d next to the filename in your Active -Archive Bin.

Status Value
Description
Pending
The fi le is queued to be archived. It has not yet been archived.
Processing
The file is currently being archived.
Completed
The file has been archived. The file remains listed, with Completed status, until
the Active-Archive Bin is refreshed. This is done automatically and usually takes
onlyafewsecondsforagivenfile. You ca n refresh the bin contents manually, if
necessary, by closing and then reopening the bin in Windows Explorer. After
the bin display is refreshed, files that were archived less than two minutes earlier
are still listed with Comp leted status. Files that were archived more than two
minutes earlier are no longer listed.
Error
An error occurred during an attempt to archive the file. When you see the Error
status value, open the My Active-Archive Properties dialog box, Reports and
Import Status panels. See "My Active-Archive P roperties dialog box"onpage52:
1. Examine the error report to determine the cause of the error. Select Error
Files,andthenclickGenerate Report on the Reports panel.
2. Reset the status of all files with Error status to Pending status. Click Retry on
the Import Status panel. Another attempt will be made to archive the error
files.
To remove a file with Error status from the bin, you must first stop archiving (see
"Starting an d stopping automatic archiving" on page 55), retry (to reset the
Status to Pending), and then remove the file (see "Removing a file from the
Active-Archive Bin" on page 57).
Removing a file from the Active-Archive Bin
Only a system a dministrator ca n remove a queued file with status other than Pending. You cannot
drag a file out of the Active-Archive Bin.
Removing a file from the Active-Archive Bin, like queuing a file there, has no effect on the original file.
Also, if someone p reviously archived the file, removing it from your archiving queue does not remove it
from any repositories where it has been archived.
Do one of the following from the Active-Archive Bin to remove a queued file with the Pending status:
• Right-click the file and select Re move.
