Document Manager clients and server
Document Manager generally refers to the client program running on an individual user machine.
System administrators can configure the client program to suit the needs of the user and your system's
configuration. Only a system administrator with appropriate access privileges can configure client
program settings. For information on con fi g uring the Document Manager server program, contact HP.
The client p
rogram communicates with the Document Manager server program running o n the system.
Asystemad
ministrator configures the server program by using system-wide settings applicable to all
client Document Manager programs ser ved by the system. During client installation, the system-wide
settings are used automatically to configure the client.
Accessing advanced features
To access all advanced features:
1. Display the My Active-Archive Properties dialog box. See "Displaying the archiving status and
general settings" on page 58.
2. Turn off archiving. See "Starting and stopping automatic archiving" on page 55.
3. Click Advanced on the Import Status panel.
