Use the Applica
tion Set tings panel of the Advanced Client Conguration Settings dialog box to enable or
disable user warnings.
To congure user warnings:
1. Display the Advanced Client Conguration Settings dialog box. See "Accessing advanced
features"onpage62.
2. Click the Applica tion Setting s tab.
3. In the Show warnings when les are added to archive bin check box, change the following settings
if needed:

heck box to enable this setting. If enabled, the user is warned whenever the
client does
not recognize a le as having contents that can be indexed. However, because
the system actually archives and indexes documents sent to it by Document Manager, the
warning is conditional (might not be indexed”).

non-index
able le contents.
4. Click OK to app ly changes and close the Advanced Client Cong u ration Settings dialog box.
Conguring PST import a nd process settings
Use the Application Settings panel of the Advanced Client Conguration Settings dialog box to congure
client processing and debugging options for logging, internal les, and treatment of PST les.
To congure PST import settings:
1. Display the Advanced Client Conguration Settings dialog box. See "Accessing advanced
features"onpage62.
2. Click the Applica tion Setting s tab.
3. Change the following settings if needed:

If True (default) , the email messages contained in a queued PST le are
archived (provided the client has Outlook 2000 or above).
If False (or without Outlook 2000 or above), the queued PST le is itself
archived, instead of the email messages it contains.
Logon Prole The Outlook prole to use for the user when a rchiving email messages
contained in a PST le. The (Default) choice means use the default Outlook
prole.
If the user is already logged on to Outlook when archiving is started, the
prole used to log on is also used for archiving.
Otherwise, the Logon Prole value is used for archiving.
Log
Path
Folder where, for each PST le, a .log le is written to record processing
sta
tus,providedProcessPSTFilesisTrue. Eachlogle contains a header
that names the corresponding PST le.
If t
he path is relative, it is relative to the client Document Manager installation
directory. The default value is the LogFiles folder in the Document Manager
installation directory.
