you later queue this file for archiving, the folder Project is opened in Outlook when the PST file
is p rocessed by Document Manager.
Document Manager closes the temporary PST message folder after it processes all of the folder messages.
However, if the application quits improperly, this closure may not take place. In that case, you can
close the folder yourself, as follows:
1. Select the folder name in the Outlook folder list.
2. Right-click and select C lose <folder_name >.
NOTE:
Closing an Outlook folder does not d elete the associated PST file.YoucanreopenthePST
file in an Outlook folder by using the Outlook menu File > Open (item Personal Folder File
or Outlook Data File, depending on your version of Outlook) . However, refrain from using
an archived PST fi le as an Outlook folder. Otherwise, you may be tempted to archive the
PST file again, which will create duplicate email messages in the archive.
Problems archiving files
If Document Manager is not archiving one or more of your queued files, verify that you did not delete the
original file(s). When you queue a file to be archived, Document Manager makes a copy of the original
file in the archiving queue. The original file must not be deleted before the copy is archived.
Problems exiting the application
If you try to exit Document Manager and Windows provides a “Not Responding” status, Document
Manager is most likely running a task that must be completed before exiting the application. Document
Manager must complete all running tasks before properly shutting d own. Do not stop this process by
accepting the Windows option to exit immediately. Allow D o cument Manager to complete the tasks in
progress to avoid losing data.
