Creating standard alert summary reports
1. Select a report type under Standard Reports. Only alerts with HARD status conditions are reported.
See "Ha rd and soft status conditions"onpage30.
2. Click Create Summary Report (under Standard Reports).

except only HARD alerts are reported.

Host Alerts
Same as previous, but only HARD host aler ts are reported.
25 Most Recent Hard
Service Alerts
Same as previous, but only HARD service alerts are reported.
Top 25 Hard Host Alert
Producers
The 2 5 hosts producing the most HARD alerts, ranked in order of number of
alerts produced.
Similar to custom report of type Top Alert Producers (see Table 84 on page 87).
Top25HardService
Alert Producers
Same as previous, but reports on services producing HARD alerts.
Creating custom alert summary reports
1. Select a custom report type under Custom Report Options.
2. Select report options:
Report Period: Select a predened period, or select *CUSTOMREPORTPERIOD*and specify
custom report start and end dates.
Limit To Hostgroup: Select a host group to report on or ** ALL HOSTGROUPS **.
Limit To Host: Select a host to report on, or ** ALL HOSTS * * .
Alert Types: Select to report on host alerts, service alerts, or bo th.
State Types: Select to report on alerts about HARD, SOFT, or both status conditions. See
"Hard and soft status conditions" on page 30.
Host States: Select host status values to report on: UP, DOWN, UNREACHABLE,problem
status values (DOWN, UNREACHABLE), or all host status values.
Service States: Select service status values to report on: OK, WARNING, UNKNOWN,
CRITICAL, problem status values ( WARNING, CRITICAL), or all service status values.
Max List Items: Enter maximum number of alerts to report.
3. Click Create Summar y Repor t.
