greater than the Domain Retention Period. Also, the PCC can be used to increase or decrease
individual Repository Retention Periods above the retention period defined for the repository type.
Again, the Repository Retention Period for a specific type should never be set below the Domain
Retention Period. This is considered an invalid configuration and is overridden by the Domain
Retention Period.

The current retention period is displayed to the right of each repository. Choose the tab (Unregulated,
Regulated, Quarantine, or Other Types) to display the repository you would like to edit. Default
retention periods for Regulated and Unregulated types of repositories are defined for the domain by
the following Domain.jcml settings:
RegulatedRetentionPeriodDays=1095
UnregulatedRetentionPeriodDays=365
To edit the retention period of an individual repository, double-click on the repository you wish to edit.
The “Edit Repository Retention Period form is displayed as shown in Figure 21.
