3. If the database server was reinstalled, run one of the following commands to restore the
/db2/VolBack par tition from either the version stored on the kickstar t server or tape backups.
NOTE:
This will delete the content of the VolBack directory.
/opt/bin/backup/db2BackupUtility -restore_from_kickstart
/opt/bin/backup/db2BackupUtility -restore_from_tape
4. To restore the da tabase, make sure the database is up by issuing the command:
su db2udb –c db2start
5. To restore DB2, run the following comma nd. It will ask for a timestamp of a backup to restore.
Normally, the last two b ackups of the database are kept.
/opt/bin/backup/db2BackupUtility -restore_db2
6. After the installation is nished, run /opt/bin/start on the PCC serv er to start the RISS sy stem
and validate that it operates correctly.
Restoring the master conguration les
Copies of the master conguration les are kept in the /usr/local/MasterConfigFiles
directory on the PCC server. Whenever one of the les is changed on the kickstart server and
the conver ter is run, the master congu ration le is c opied to the PCC server, and renamed to
YYYY-MM-DD-hh.mm.ss_FileName. It is also backed up to tape, if application backup is enabled.
To restore this directory from the tape backup, run the following command on the PCC ser ver:
/usr/local/tsmBackup/rotateMasterConfigBackup –restore
