Snapclone copy is in progress for the LUN
LUN is a Mirrorclone
LUN is a Mirrorclone Source
LUN already has a Mirrorclone Snapshot
Snapclone creation is not supported for any of the specified states of the source LUN. Hence
before attempting snapshot creation for a Volume, ensure that the source LUN is not in any
one of the specified states.
3. Mirrorclone or Mirrorclone-snapshot creation fails and the following application event log
message is displayed:
Mirrorclone is not allowed for the LUN: AAA for the reason: BBB
where AAA is the name of the LUN and BBB could be one of the following:
LUN is a Snapshot
LUN already has a Snapshot
LUN is a Snapclone Source
Snapclone copy is in progress for the LUN
LUN is a Mirrorclone
LUN already has a Mirrorclone Snapshot
Mirrorclone or Mirrorclone-snapshot creation is not supported for any of the specified states
of the source LUN. Hence before attempting snapshot creation for a Volume, source LUN is
not in any one of the specified states.
A shadow copy creation is attempted when the target diskgroup is not configured in the VSS
Configuration Utility for the snap types - snapclone, mirrorclone, mirrorclone-snapshot selected.
When this happens, the following application event log message is displayed:
Unable to obtain the clone diskgroup for Vdisk AAA...Please configure
the diskgroup using the Configuration Utility
Where AAA is the source VDisk name. Target diskgroup is a diskgroup where the shadow copy
of the configured snap type will be created. Hence ensure to configure the diskgroup for the snap
types - snapclone, mirrorclone, mirrorclone-snapshot using the VSS Configuration Utility. If not,
the shadow copy creation of the configured snap type will continue to fail.
A Shadow copy creation is attempted with the snap type fully-allocated snapshot or snapclone or
mirrorclone or mirrorclone-snapshot in the P6000 Array when there is no sufficient space for the
copy in the Array. When this happens, the following application event log message is displayed:
Insufficient Available Data Storage
Ensure that there is sufficient space for the copy in the configured diskgroup of the Array or con-
figure a different diskgroup with sufficient space using the VSS Configuration Utility before the
next attempt of shadow copy creation. If not, the shadow copy creation will continue to fail.
A Shadow copy creation is attempted for a Volume belonging to a P6000 Array that is not actively
managed by the Command View configured in the VSS Configuration Utility. When this happens,
the following application event log message is displayed:
The LUN information could not be obtained for the LUN(WWID: [AAA])
since the Storage Array corresponding to the LUN is not being managed
by the Command View
Where AAA is the LUN WWID.
