The two important pieces in HP SIM are the software and the database it maintains. On a Linux CMS,

Setup process
Setup the cluster following these steps :
Installation of HP SIM
o
Installation of the HP SIM binary on system 1

Installation of the HP SIM binary on system 2
o
Creation of all necessary directories on the shared storage
o
Moving the
data from system1 on to the shared system
o
Creating links from local systems to the one of the shared storage
Installation of the HP Serviceguard Cluster Layer
Installation of HP Serviceguard Manager in SMH on nodes.
Creation of the HP SIM package (single p
ackage for HP SIM application )
Bringing up the cluster
Fine tuning
Testing
