Edit the file
/etc/opt/mx/config/mx.properties
. Add the following line:
MX SSH TIMEOUT=0

Run
ps
–
ef | grep mx
to make sure all of the
mx
processes have been sto
pped. It can take
several minutes for all of the
mx
processes to stop, so do this periodically. If after 5 minutes there
are any
mx
processes left, manually stop them using the
kill <PID>
command.

Start HP SIM:
%mxstart
It takes several minutes for the HPS
IM services to start. After a few minutes, run:
% mxuser
–
lt
If you get an error message immediately, wait a few minutes then try again. Otherwise,
mxuser
returns with a list of users configured in HP SIM, indicating the services are all running.

pleting all of these steps, you can run the tool, SSH will not timeout, the task results will be
accurate, and information presented in

” will be accurate.
