HP Systems Insight Manager 6.2 Release Notes

Hyper-V manager
Configuring two VMs with the same name in Hyper-V manager is not supported in Systems Insight Manager
6.2. Systems Insight Manager uses the <hostname>_<guestname> as the name of the VM when the host is
identified, thus, even though the UUID of the VM is different, Systems Insight Manager is not able to handle
this situation.
PCI card information
PCI card information is inaccurate on new hardware platforms that support HP-UX (for example, SuperDome
2). This is a known issue that will be addressed in a new release of the WBEM IOTree provided available
in a future release.
Reporting
If you are unable to see a link to some or all predefined reports under Enhanced Reports or if the database
details are prompted by the reporting UI, you must complete the following:
CMS Installed on Windows
Open the reports.xml file at <SIM Installation directory>
/config/preload/62/addfiles/reports.xml and change the timestamp+. You can enter
a space at the end of the file.
1.
2. Close and save the file.
3. Go to the command prompt and execute the mxconfigrefresh command.
CMS Installed on HP-UX or Linux
Open the reports.xml file at
/etc/opt/mx/config/preload/62/addfiles/reports.xml and change the timestamp
of the file. You can enter a space at the end of the file.
1.
2. Close and save the file.
3. Go to the command prompt and execute the mxconfigrefresh command.

Normally, you obtain Superdome 2 inventory data from the WS-MAN protocol, with details being available
in the old Data Collection report, through links, including DIMM, Fans, and Power. When Onboard
Administrator is set with both SNMP and WSMAN protocols, Data Collection runs for both protocols, with
the details being available in the old Data Collection report as well as in the links. The SNMP details appear
in the old Data Collection report and WS-MAN details are in the links. The only difference between SNMP
and a WS-MAN collection, is that SNMP gives the above inventory data under Onboard Administrator
device key and WS-MAN gives the inventory data specific to Onboard Administrator enclosure device key.
The Data Collection report for inventory data is the same for both protocols except for the device key. This
will be resolved in a future release of Systems Insight Manager.
SQL Server
SQL login failure occurs when the SQL server not configured to accept client connection during CMS startup.
This issue occurs intermittently during system reboot.
To work around this issue, modify the Systems Management Service property to delay automatic start after
CMS server reboots. This provides the necessary time for the SQL server to start and be ready for database
connection when Systems Insight Manager starts.
-------------------------------------------------------------
A vulnerability in Microsoft SQL Server could allow remote code execution. To fix this defect, you must install
the patch provided at: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/Bulletin/MS09-004.mspx. Download
the patch corresponding to you version of Microsoft SQL Server and install on the database server.

Configure or Repair Agents displays a message informing you to upgrade the firmware to the latest firmware.
This is an incorrect message Integrity iLO3. Single Sign-On (SSO) to an Integrity iLO3 system is not supported
in Systems Insight Manager 6.1.
