If Simple File Sharing is enabled, it must be disabled.
Procedure 26 Disable Simple File Sharing
1. Go to Start→My Computer→Tools→Folder Options→View.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the list of advanced settings, and deselect Use Simple
File Sharing (Recommended).
3. Click OK.
12.12.1.18 On an HP-UX system, the mxinitconfig -a command fails at step 8, and the
following error appears in the /var/opt/mx/logs/initconfig.log file:

Connection refused.Check that the host name and port are
correct and that the postmaster is accepting TCP/IP

Try the following solutions:
• Ensure that the semmni and semmns kernel parameters are set to the minimum
values (1024 for semmni and 2048 for semmns.)
• The subdirectory /var/opt/iexpress/postgresql exists because the
PostgreSQL product is not installed or was installed and uninstalled incorrectly.
Uninstall PostgreSQL if it is installed, delete the /var/opt/iexpress/
postgresql directory, and then reinstall PostgreSQL.
12.12.1.19 After installing Systems Insight Manager, a CMS that is set up on a desktop appears
as a server.
Identification identifies a system as a server if HP SMH is found on the system.
Re-identify the CMS with WBEM credentials. The system is identified as Desktop
with the correct system information.
12.12.1.20 When attempting to uninstall HP SIM standalone from the control panel, the
application does not uninstall the remaining insight Management components,
giving the error “HPIS utility application has stopped working”.
You see the error either when you have installed HPSIM along with the integrated
IS DVD installer or when you have installed HPSIM on a system, which already has
the IS DVD installed.
To resolve this, ensure that you use the IS DVD Uninstaller to uninstall HPSIM and
other components.
12.12.1.21 I receive the error “Database installation fails with error code:-1035451685”.
You see the error either when the SQL service does not start at the end of the SQL
installation, or when other applications are using the SQL service.

12.12.1.22 HP SIM InstalIation fails and I receive the error “SQL Server 2008 Express SP2
installation failed with exit code: -2068578304”when attempting to install IS DVD
and Standalone SIM.
The installation fails when you provide wrong credentials in the Database
Configuration screen.
To resolve this, you must enter the appropriate login credentials for successful
installation.
12.12.1.23 HP SIM Installation fails when I attempt to install HP SIM on SQL Server 2008 Express
R2 and I receive the error “SQL 2008 Express R2 Installation failed with error code
: -2067922940 ”.
