HP Systems Insight Manager 7.3 Update 1 release provides information on feature enhancements,
new supports, and issues with suggested actions.
Description
HP Systems Insight Manager is a system management software designed to help manage HP
Proliant servers and storage. For more information on software features, see the HP Systems Insight
Manager User Guide at http://www.hp.com/go/insightmanagement/sim/docs.
Update recommendation
HP recommends that customers running 7.3 version to upgrade to 7.3.1 version.

This release supports the operating systems and devices listed in the HP Insight Management

Enhancements
The following sections list the new features, and supports available in this release.
New features
• Direct connect remote support
The direct connect remote support registers a server or enclosure to communicate directly to
HP Insight Online without the need to set up an HP Insight Remote Support centralized Hosting
Device in your local environment. HP Insight Online is your primary interface for remote support
information.
The direct connect is supported for both Gen8 servers (through iLO) and c-Class enclosures
(through OA). The SIM Configure and Repair Agent UI only supports registering or unregistering
the Gen8 servers.

• Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter (FC HBA) indications support from ESXi
HP SIM now supports FC HBA indications from ESXi, once you subscribe for WBEM events.
