Troubleshooting SIM connectivity to Command View SMI-S
If the discovery process fails to find the Command View server and gather information about the
EVAs, you can use the WBEMDISCO tool to determine if the SMI-S provider is responding and that
the credentials are correct. WBEMDISCO is installed automatically by SIM.
Using WBEMDISCO
WBEMDISCO is packaged with HP SIM. To use WBEMDISCO:
1. Open a command window.
2. Enter the following path:
C:\Program Files\HP\Systems Insight Manager
On a 64-bit version of Windows, the path is as follows:
C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\Systems Insight Manager
3. Execute WBEMDISCO.CMD from the command line.
