NOTE: The ProLiant ML/DL 100 series servers do not support HP Insight Remote Support
Advanced. If you are using HP Insight Remote Support Advanced, you must use a ProLiant
300, 500, 700, or Blade Server.
NOTE: If Microsoft SQL Server is installed on the CMS, an additional 512 MB of RAM
should be installed.
NOTE: HP Netserver platforms can be used for the Central Management Server as long as
the Instant Toptools software is not installed and all other requirements are met.
Software
Database software:
• Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Standard/Enterprise SP2
• Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Express R2 (as package in SIM DB)
• Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Standard/Enterprise
• Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Standard/Enterprise SP1
NOTE: Microsoft SQL Server 2008 supports 5,000 systems and 50,000 events.
• Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Express SP1
NOTE: Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Express requires .NET 2.0 Framework.
NOTE: Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Express supports 500 systems and 5,000 events.
• Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Express SP2
• Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Express R2
NOTE: If the SIM installation fails on Microsoft SQL Server Express, see HP SIM Installation
