Traditional mode installations—The Printer Automatic Configuration is automatically executed at the end
of the installation routine. When the printer’s capabilities have changed the Update Now process can be
launched from the driver user interface to allow the UPD to query the target device: Printer
Properties→Device Settings tab→Installable Options→Automatic Configuration→Update Now.

Automatic Configuration:= Off: The update now bidirectional communication is not currently in
progress
●
Automatic Configuration:= Update Now: The driver is in process of communicating with the target
product; this process can take minutes dependent upon environment and configuration. When finished,
the status will change to Off.
