The checks done on
this IP address
are the following:
Given a format like
###.###.###.###
(for example,
151.12.54.205),
ensure the
following:
• There are
indeed four
dot-separated
sets of
numbers.
• Each of the
dot-separated
sets is less than
255.
Check the IP address
syntax. If a range is given,
the first IP address given
must be less than the
second IP address given.
