What is an I/O Expansion Cabinet?

NOTE I/O expansion cabinets are not available with early shipments of
Superdome. Contact your HP Sales Representative for up-to-date
information.
An I/O expansion cabinet contains up to six twelve-slot I/O chassis
(cardcages). Unlike a CPU cabinet, it contains no slots for cells.
You need an I/O expansion cabinet if:
you need more than 48 I/O slots per CPU cabinet; or
you need to attach I/O to more than four cells in a CPU cabinet.
