Using Superdome GSP Menus
Chapter 242
Navigating through GSP Menus
This section describes how to navigate through Superdome GSP menus
and sub-menus.
As Figure 2-3 on page 43 shows, there are various commands and options
for returning to the GSP Main Menu and escaping or ending a GSP login
session.
The following list has additional tips for navigating through GSP menus
and using GSP features:
Control-b
Exit current console, console log, chassis log, or Virtual Front
Panel.
When accessing a partition’s console, any log files, or any Virtual
Front Panel (VFP), you can exit and return to the GSP Main Menu by
typing ^b (Control-b).
Q (or lower-case q)
Exit or cancel current menu prompt.
Enter Q (or lower-case q) as response to any menu prompt to exit the
prompt and return to the previous sub-menu.
You can do this throughout the GSP sub-menus, including the console
menus, various command menu prompts, and the log and VFP
menus.
Note that, from the GSP command menu prompt (GSP:CM>) you must
enter MA (not Q) to return to the GSP main menu. However, you can
enter Q or q to cancel any command.
Control-]
Escape the GSP connection and return to the telnet prompt.
At any time during your telnet connection to a Superdome server’s
GSP, you can type the ^] (Control-right bracket) escape sequence.
This key sequence escapes back to the telnet prompt. When at the
telnet> prompt you can use the following commands, among others:
? (print telnet command help information), close (close the current
connection), and quit (exit telnet).
To return to the GSP connection, type enter (or return) one or more
times.
