Disk space and memory requirements
For proper operation, HyperFabric software versions B.11.11.05.01, B.11.23.03.01 and
B.11.23.04 require the following disk space and memory:
• A minimum of 512 MB of system memory per adapter.
• 12 MB free disk space.
Updating the software from an older version
If you have an older version of the HyperFabric software, you can update it by installing the latest
version of HyperFabric (B.11.11.05.01 for HP-UX 11iv1 or B.11.23.03.01 or B.11.23.04 for
HP-UX 11iv2) over the old one.
When updating from HyperFabric B.11.00.11, do not uninstall the existing version on the system.
There is a known problem related to this. For more information, see “Known problems and
workarounds” (page 5)).
NOTE: To make use of the Transparent Local Failover feature available in this version, you need
to configure the HF2 adapters as card pairs using the clic_init command or SAM. For more
information, see Installing and Administering HyperFabric Guide (Part Number: B6257-90052).
