1 Installing from the Software Pack
CD-ROM
The bundle contains all the required patches plus the enablement product for this
feature.
To install Enhanced AutoFS B.11.11.0503.1 on your system, perform the following steps:
NOTE Back up your system before installing this product.
Step 1. Log in as root.
Step 2. Mount the CD drive on to the desired directory. The following example uses the /cdrom
directory (you can find the CD drive device file by using the ioscan -fnC disk
command):
# mount -r /dev/dsk/clt2d0 /cdrom
Step 3. Use SD to install the ENHAUTO bundle from the CD.
# swinstall -x autoreboot=true -s /cdrom ENHAUTO
NOTE Enhanced AutoFS B.11.11.0503.1 contains a kernel product. Installing the product will
cause a system reboot after the installation is complete. So, the autoreboot flag must be
specified.
Step 4. After system reboot, refer to the Enhanced AutoFS Administrator’s Guide for
instructions on using Enhanced AutoFS B.11.11.0503.1.
Removing Enhanced AutoFS
The swremove command removes the core functionality of the product but leaves the
bundle wrapper and patches on your system. HP does not recommend the removal of
patches that were included with the feature bundle.
To remove Enhanced AutoFS B.11.11.0503.1 from your system, perform the following
steps:
Step 1. Login as root.
Step 2. To remove Enhanced AutoFS B.11.11.0503.1 completely, run the following command:
# swremove -x autoreboot=true ENHAUTOFS
